Advertiser terms
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy an advert on remotejobs.co.za from Imbertech (Pty) Ltd. They sit alongside the terms of use.
What you buy
An advert runs for the number of days you buy, from 1 to 90. Buying more days later adds to the same advert. Adverts are bought through Lemon Squeezy, which sells to you as merchant of record.
Google for Jobs
Google for Jobs markup is a perk of a paid advert. When an advert has the details Google asks for, such as a location and a posting date, its page carries Google's job posting markup, so it can show in Google for Jobs. Listings we collect from other sites never carry it. Whether Google shows an advert is up to Google, and we cannot promise it will.
Price and VAT
The price per day is shown at checkout. Whether VAT or other tax is included or added is shown by Lemon Squeezy at checkout, based on where you are. You pay the amount shown on the checkout page.
What you must not advertise
- Jobs that ask for an upfront, training, registration or similar fee.
- Jobs where the applicant pays to apply.
- Jobs that ask for payment in crypto or gift cards, or run a crypto payment scheme.
- Jobs where the only way to make contact is a personal messaging account, with no company domain.
- Anything false, misleading or unlawful.
Holds
We hold an advert automatically when it hits one of the rules above, when enough different readers report it, or when a payment is flagged as fraud. A held advert is not shown. There is no manual review before a hold.
- Rule hit: edit the advert so it passes the rules and the hold clears. If it is still held after 72 hours, it is removed, every paid order on it is refunded in full, and the account cannot post for 30 days.
- Reports: you can contest a report hold once per account in any 30 days. A contest restores the advert and starts a 72 hour cool-down. It does not make the advert immune. If 10 more different readers report it after that, it is held again with no contest option. A report hold left for 72 hours without a contest is removed and every paid order on it is refunded in full, with no posting block.
- Fraud: the advert is removed with no contest, the account cannot post for 30 days, and we refund only the orders that were not fraudulent.
Refunds
- If a held advert is not fixed or restored within 72 hours, it is removed and every paid order on it is refunded in full.
- If a payment is made for an advert that is held or removed, that payment is refunded in full.
- If an order is refunded in part, we remove only the unused days. The share of days removed matches the share of the order that was refunded, counted from the original total.
- If we cannot match a paid order to an advert, we refund it in full within 24 hours.
- An order with details we do not accept, such as a quantity outside 1 to 90 days, is refunded in full.
- Days that have already run are not refunded, unless one of the cases above says so.
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy. The time your bank takes to show the money is outside our control. To ask about an order, write to hello@remotejobs.co.za with the order number.
Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. You are responsible for what is posted from your account. You can delete your account at any time by writing to hello@remotejobs.co.za.Deleting it takes your adverts down. See the privacy notice for what is erased.
Our right to remove
We may remove an advert that breaks these terms or the law. Where an advert is removed for a reason in the Refunds section, the refund rules above apply.
Cancelling and consumer rights
Adverts are a digital service that starts when the order is applied. See the legal details page for how cancellation rights apply.
