Position Overview
We are seeking a contract writer to develop and write a Christ-centered book focused on biblical hospitality. In a culture that often equates hospitality with Instagram-perfect entertaining, expensive menus, and impeccable homes, this project will reclaim the radical, gospel-driven heart of welcoming others as Christ has welcomed us. We are open to different conceptual directions for this resource, including, but not limited to:
A foundational, theology-of-hospitality book that explores the biblical and historical roots of welcoming the stranger, moving the reader's paradigm from performance-based "entertaining" to heart-centered, sacrificial hospitality that reflects the heart of God.
A highly practical book designed to dismantle the common barriers to hosting, such as small spaces, tight budgets, busy seasons of life, introversion, or the idol of perfectionism. This book would champion "unfancy" hospitality, showing how to open one's life and home with simplicity and grace.
