Overview

We are seeking a theologically trained writer to join a collaborative team developing a Christ-centered commentary on the Gospels and Acts. This project is written for the thoughtful, everyday Bible student who wants to go deeper—without requiring highly technical academic detail. The commentary should reflect careful exegesis and a clearly articulated Christ-centered hermeneutic. Our goal is to land between conversational pastoral commentaries and academic volumes—accessible, theologically rich, and intellectually serious. An ecumenical tone is imperative throughout, engaging interpretive differences with charity and avoiding unnecessary polemics.

Scope of Work

Collaborate with a team of contributors under editorial and theological oversight

Research and write assigned portions of the Gospels and/or Acts

Provide clear, structured commentary that includes:

Literary and historical context

Explanation of key theological themes

Engagement with major interpretive questions

Selective interaction with the original languages where illuminating (without becoming technical)
