Pre-Construction Associate

The Pre-Construction Associate plays a key role in supporting architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams in the early phases of project development. This role combines technical drafting, project coordination, and pre-construction documentation to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design Support

Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and multiple-view drafts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Convert sketches, hand-drawn concepts, and architectural notes into precise digital drawings.

Ensure all designs comply with fabrication limitations, construction standards, and project specifications.

Maintain and continuously update the AutoCAD block library.

Pre-Construction Documentation

Assist architects and engineers with estimating, plan takeoffs, crowdsourcing, bid preparation, and other pre-construction deliverables.

Produce comprehensive planning reports and visual materials for client presentations.

Record and track daily and weekly project progress for internal monitoring and reporting.
